• All dogs must be licensed and vaccinated before entering the Dog Park.

  • Both rabies vaccinations tags and Dog License tags are required to be secured on your dog at all times.

  • No dogs less than four (4) months of age shall be permitted in a Dog Park.

  • Female dogs in heat shall not be allowed in the Dog Park at any time.

  • A handler / guardian may bring in NO more than three (3) dogs at a time.

  • Handlers / guardians are responsible for removing dog waste from the Park and disposing it in a proper receptacle.

  • Handlers / guardians must remain with their dog(s) and be in view of their dog(s) at all times.

  • Dogs shall be removed from the Dog Park at the first sign of aggression.

  • Aggressive dogs shall not be permitted within any designated dog park. An “aggressive dog” is defined as a dog posing a threat to humans or other animals.

  • Handlers / guardians are legally responsible for their dog(s) and any injury caused by them.

  • No food is allowed within boundaries of the Dog Park.

  • No bicycles or scooters are allowed to be ridden in the Dog Park.

  • Businesses or professional dog trainers may not use any Dog Park for the conduct of their business, unless sponsored by Arlington County.

  • Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the Dog Park.

  • Handlers / guardians must be in possession of their dog’s leash at all times.

  • Handlers / guardians shall not allow their dogs to bark on a continuous or frequent basis.

  • Handlers / guardians shall fill in any holes dug by their dogs prior to leaving the park.

  • Grooming or washing your dog is not allowed in the Dog Park, unless it is part of a County sponsored program.

  • Parents must be in control of their children at all times and not allow them to run or antagonize dogs in the Dog Park.

  • The unauthorized posting or distributing of any materials at the Dog Park or on County property is strictly prohibited.

  • Violations of the leash law, running at large law and not picking up after your dog can result in a summons to appear in court and a $100.00 fine.

Any animal bite should be reported immediately to the Department of Animal Control located at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, 2650 S. Arlington Mill Drive, Arlington VA 22206, 703-931-9241
