1. The main entrance to the dog park off of S. Oakland St and the parking area will be closed starting this Monday, July 29 through Friday, August 2. Crews will be installing new, better operating gates. Please use the middle entrance at S. Oxford St or the entrance off of S. Walter Reed Dr to access the dog park. The entrance to the small dog area will not be affected. This area is only for dogs under 25 pounds. If it is absolutely necessary to access the larger dog area from this entrance, keep your dog on leash until you exit the small dog area.
2. It is crucial for the health and safety of everyone and for the future of the dog park that all poops are picked up immediately and disposed of properly in one of the large trash bins.
3. Make art with your pup by bringing them to the Paw-casso Party on Thursday, August 8, from 5-7 pm at Metropolitan Park, 1330 S. Fair St in National Landing. Hosted by MoCA Arlington, the free event will feature local dog-loving vendors, Polaroid portraits, art demos and giveaways.
4. All dogs entering the dog park are required to have their current rabies vaccine tag displayed along with their license tag.
