1. Recently someone spread bird seed in the dog park which unfortunately dogs have ingested. For the health and safety of our canine friends and to preserve the dog park please do not leave anything in the park. This also includes, but is not limited to, balls, toys, and trash. Make sure you have all your personal items with you when you leave the dog park as well.
2. For the same reasons it is imperative that all dog poop is picked up and disposed of properly in the trash bins.
3. Everyone is required to keep their dogs in sight at all times and to always pick up after them. If you are looking at your phone you won't be able to notice your dog pooping.
4. A dog in heat was brought into the dog park which created a dangerous situation. Fortunately others in the park at the time quickly informed the owner this was not permitted and the dog was removed. Dog park rules and regulations are listed on our site and are posted at each entrance and on the bulletin board. You can help keep the dog park safe by informing violators.
5. The next Low-Cost Rabies and Microchip Clinic will be held on Feb 15 at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. All dogs entering the dog park must have current license and rabies vaccination tags. You need to register in advance to participate in the clinic: www.awla.org/events/clinics
